Handling Orders
Getting notified
When a buyer places an order you'll receive an email notification immediately containing:
- Which domain was ordered
- The link type requested
- The buyer's anchor text and target URL
- Any special notes from the buyer
- The buyer's email address
All orders are also visible in the Orders section of your dashboard.
Reviewing an order
| Column | Details |
|---|---|
| Order # | Unique identifier |
| Domain | Which of your domains the buyer ordered on |
| Buyer | The buyer's email |
| Amount | What they paid |
| Status | Pending or Completed |
| Date | When the order was placed |
Click an order to see full details including anchor text, target URL, link type, and notes.
Fulfilling the link
Fulfilment happens entirely outside Linkforge - you publish the link on your domain using your normal CMS or workflow.
Read the order details
Check the anchor text, target URL, link type, and any buyer notes carefully before starting.
Publish the link
Write the guest post, insert the niche edit, or add the link as specified. Make sure the target URL and anchor text match exactly.
Mark as Completed
Come back to the Orders dashboard and click Mark as Completed. The buyer receives a completion notification.
Marking an order complete
Click Mark as Completed on the order. This:
- Updates the order status to Completed
- Sends a completion notification email to the buyer
Contacting the buyer
If you need clarification before fulfilling (wrong niche, unclear instructions, etc.), use the Contact Buyer button in the order detail view. This sends an email to the buyer's address.
Response time
Your profile lists an expected response time that buyers see before ordering. Aim to complete orders within that window - consistently slow fulfilment leads to buyers not returning.
