Overview
title: Overview description: The full marketplace flow explained - from listing a domain to a completed link placement.
How Linkforge Works
Linkforge connects sellers (site owners) with buyers (SEO professionals) through a simple storefront model. There is no intermediary managing deals - sellers set their own prices and terms, buyers pay directly, and the platform takes a small transaction fee.
The two sides of the marketplace
Sellers
Buyers
Step-by-step flow
1. Seller sets up their page
The seller creates an account, adds their domains, and publishes their public seller page. Each domain has:
- Metrics (DR, DA, organic traffic)
- Accepted link types (guest post, niche edit, etc.)
- Price per placement
2. Buyer finds the seller
Buyers can be sent directly to a seller's page via a link (linkforge.io/seller/username), or discover sellers through other channels. Sellers share their page links themselves.
3. Buyer places an order
On the seller's public page, the buyer:
- Browses the domain list and filters to their needs
- Adds one or more domains to the cart
- Clicks Request / Buy
- Fills in their email, optional billing info, and selects a payment method
- Pays (PayPal) or submits a manual order request
4. Seller receives the order
The seller gets an email notification and sees the order in their Orders dashboard. The order contains the domain, link type, anchor text, target URL, and any notes from the buyer.
5. Seller fulfils the link
The seller publishes the link and marks the order as Completed in the dashboard. The buyer gets a completion notification.
What Linkforge does not do
- No escrow - payment goes directly between buyer and seller via PayPal.
- No content moderation - sellers are responsible for what they publish.
- No automated fulfilment - the seller manually places the link and marks it done.
